The J Clay Thompson Technique Foundation offers certification in the Thompson Technique. Students are required to complete 36 hours of instruction, attend the annual conference and take a written and practical exam as well as present a case study utilizing the Thompson Technique. A few students will be selected to present a case study at the annual conference.
Students can access 12 of the 36 hours online. We are hoping this link will be active by March 2025. This 12-hour module will cover the history of the Thompson Technique, Thermography, Chiropractic Philosophy and an overview of the Thompson Technique Five Categories. While this is the first module of the certification series, it can be taken any time before the annual conference. It is not a pre-requisite to the second module.
The second module for certification is a 12-hour live hands-on class that covers the Thompson Technique leg check analysis and adjusting procedures.
The annual conference serves as the third module. Students who wish to be certified must complete the online and hands-on class to be eligible for certification. The third module will include presentations by certified Thompson Technique instructors, presentations by certification candidates and the practical exam for certification. The written exam will be completed online prior to the conference.
Anyone wishing to become certified in the technique should contact the Thompson Foundation by sending an email to thompsonfoundation@yahoo.com or call Dr. Zogg at 563.299.4334.
All modules are open to Chiropractors and Chiropractic students who wish the learn the Thompson Technique, even if they do not wish to take all 36 hours for certification.
For international classes, the foundation will require proof of Chiropractic license or graduation from a recognized Chiropractic program. The J Clay Thompson Technique Foundation does not provide certification to other types of health care providers unless those students are currently enrolled in an approved Chiropractic program.
