Dr. Mariely Perez is from Puerto Rico always had a desire to serve people and provide health through Orthopedics. She was performing Shadow in three hospitals in Puerto Rico, she realized that 90% of the patients who are about to have surgery were cases that, treated in time, could be prevented from that surgery. They just needed that health professional to push them or teach them something better. It was thus at this time that she was looking for a profession which she could perform with her hands without side effects that she found Chiropractic. She began her doctorate in Chiropractic at Life University in 2019. While in the doctorate she found The Thompson Club with which her passion for Chiropractic increased even more. She found that this technique is not only responsible for being specific and adjusting the vertebral subluxation, but also provides a gentler adjustment to the patient and in turn the speed that the drop provides makes it require less force. After this she decided to be part of the Thompson club within the university and later she became its president. In 2021 she met Dr. Beth Zogg at Life University and that would be the beginning of her desire to help the growth of this beautiful technique that Dr. Thompson left us as a legacy. She was on a technique mission trip with Dr. Zogg in Mexico and has helped in some seminars in Puerto Rico, Mexico and the United States. After graduating with her doctorate in Chiropractic in December 2022, she begins from January 2023 to the present on the Board of the J Clay Thompson Technique Foundation. She completed a postgraduate degree in Chiropractic Philosophy at Sherman College of Chiropractic from 2023 to 2024.
